Juliette is a fabulous table runner, constructed with patchwork and quilting, ideal for the beginner quilter as she is a lovely size to "cut your teeth on". Juliette could be made into a larger runner or quilt - once you've made a block, you can add as many as you like. You could also just make one block and use it to make a beautiful cushion. 
This pattern is so versatile, the "quilt" is self-bound with the backing fabric, but it's easy to change that into a piece bound separately with a contrasting fabric. If you fancy this idea, take a look at my other quilt patterns to remind you how to do it.
